Summer Pop Tenerife adds Lucho RK and Danny Romero to line-up
Summer Pop Tenerife continues to build the bill for its debut edition, which will take place at the Recinto Ferial de Santa Cruz de Tenerife on Sunday 13 September at 4pm. The festival has confirmed the addition of two of the most powerful artists on the current urban scene with a distinctly Canarian flavour: Lucho RK and Danny Romero.
Lucho RK: a meteoric rise
Lucho RK arrives at Summer Pop Tenerife backed by a meteoric career that positions him as one of the most prominent names in the urban genre in Spain. The Gran Canaria-born artist has burst onto the music industry with a style that fuses Latin rhythms with rap and the latest trap trends. His distinctive signature has taken a definitive leap forward with the release of his debut EP, ¿Quién está aquí?, a work that demonstrates his ability to connect directly with audiences. With a constantly growing digital community, Lucho RK boasts more than 3.7 million listeners and has accumulated over 27 million global streams. This momentum is reinforced through collaborations with the biggest names on the current scene, most notably his successful collaboration with Quevedo.
Danny Romero: a reference in urban music
The confirmation of Danny Romero guarantees the presence at the festival of a true reference in urban music, both in Spain and Latin America. The producer, composer and singer from Gran Canaria revolutionised the music industry from his early days, achieving his first international number one with the undisputed hit Agáchate. Mentored in his early career by Juan Magán, Romero has built one of the most solid trajectories on the current scene, amassing a historic tally of 14 Gold Discs and 14 Platinum Discs.
Ruslana, Lewis Potter and Playacoco also confirmed
The organisers have also reinforced the island roots of the line-up by adding Ruslana. The adopted Tenerife-born singer returns to the island backed by her status as LOS40’s Revelation Artist and the success of a national tour with eleven sold-out shows. Alongside her, the programme includes Lewis Potter, a Gran Canaria-born creator who has revolutionised the urban scene by fusing British and island roots, a distinctive style that already supports a metric of over 450,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
Also joining the Summer Pop Tenerife line-up is Playacoco, a musical project that blends pop with tropical sounds. With over 450 concerts under their belt and having shared the stage with national and international artists such as Bad Bunny and Yatra, among others, the duo continues to consolidate a proposal that connects the sound of the archipelago with today’s audiences.
Full line-up and ticket information
These new confirmations join a line-up that already includes Álvaro de Luna, who is currently presenting his new album Azulejos, and Leire, who is preparing the eagerly awaited release of her first solo album. The full line-up with further artists will be announced shortly. The event enjoys institutional support from the Government of the Canary Islands, Turismo Islas Canarias and Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida, as well as strategic collaboration with LOS40, consolidating the island’s position as a host for major events in the archipelago. Tickets are available via the Summer Pop Tenerife website and on the Tomaticket platform. Encaro Factory is a firm specialising in event production and artistic direction. The company develops large-format projects that combine conceptual design, scenography and cultural programming, with the aim of transforming spaces and creating unique experiences in the leisure and entertainment sector.
