Tenerife Cook Music Fest: Urban music giants take over the island

Superstars land to a hero’s welcome

Tenerife has become the global epicentre of urban music. The genre’s biggest names have touched down on the island amid unprecedented excitement, sending the hundreds of fans who had been waiting for their arrival into a frenzy. Don Omar, the undisputed ‘King of Reggaeton’, was seen getting up close and personal, signing autographs for devotees waiting at the tarmac. Farruko, meanwhile, sparked euphoria as he waved and warmly greeted the crowds gathered at Tenerife Norte Airport. Diva Ivy Queen made no secret of her emotion upon stepping onto Tenerife soil, sharing an energised message with her followers: “Hello my people of Tenerife, we’ve arrived and tomorrow we’re performing alongside Don Omar and Myke Towers. I’m here chilling with my crew in this beautiful luxury.”

Historic opening night

This triumphant arrival marks the prelude to a historic beginning. The first day of the Tenerife Cook Music Fest, dubbed Urban Mood, kicks off this Thursday with a completely sold-out line-up, confirming the Canarian public’s eagerness to witness an event that brings Farruko, Ivy Queen, Don Omar and Myke Towers together on the same stage. This spectacular launch coincides with the fifth anniversary of a festival that is now firmly established.

Record crowds and huge festival site

Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s port will host the event from this Thursday through to Saturday, with overall attendance expected to exceed 100,000 people across the three concert days. To accommodate such a massive audience, the organisers have designed a venue spanning over 60,000 square metres that goes far beyond the music:

Leisure and experiences: The space will feature a giant Ferris wheel and a market zone with tattoo stalls, makeup stations and accessories.
Gastronomy: A dedicated food area with over 20 kitchen stalls blending traditional Canarian cuisine with international offerings.
