Three injured in flat fire in Jinámar
Three people have been treated for smoke inhalation following a fire in a flat in Jinámar, Gran Canaria, this Friday. The blaze forced the full evacuation of the building as a precautionary measure.
Fire broke out on fourth floor
The fire started on the fourth floor of block 13 on Calle Manuel Alemán. Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium attended the scene and, after an initial inspection, confirmed that no one was inside the affected property. They then carried out fire suppression and ventilated the flat.
Emergency response
Paramedics from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) also attended and treated those affected. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage.
