Iberia Express launches new Canary Islands resident fare with flights from €17
Iberia Express has launched a new promotional campaign for Canary Islands residents, offering flights to Madrid from just €17 per leg once the resident discount is applied. Tickets are available for travel from 1 October 2026 onwards.
Six Canarian airports included
The offer applies to direct connections from all six Canarian airports served by the airline to the Spanish capital: Gran Canaria, Tenerife North, Tenerife South, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Palma. The prices shown are the minimum fare per leg for return bookings made through the Iberia Express website.
Club Express membership required
To access these rates, passengers must be members of Club Express, a free loyalty service that also grants access to the airline’s onboard entertainment system, featuring films, series, documentaries and music. Club Express currently has over 2.7 million active members and has established itself as a platform for frequent travellers seeking a combination of connectivity, services and competitive fares.
Strategic route between the Canary Islands and Madrid
The company highlights that this promotion is part of its commitment to strengthening the connection between the Canary Islands and Madrid, one of its strategic routes. In recent years, Iberia Express has bolstered its operations between the archipelago and the Spanish capital, increasing frequencies and offering a wider range of timetables to facilitate travel for residents and boost visitor arrivals from the mainland.
Canary Islands is the airline’s main market
The Canary Islands represent Iberia Express’s primary market. In 2025, the airline operated nearly 17,000 flights to and from the archipelago and achieved an average departure punctuality rate of 92.99 per cent. Additionally, the company was recognised by consultancy firm Cirium as Europe’s most punctual airline in 2025 for the third consecutive year.
