Cloud and clear spells for Monday
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a cloudy day in northern Tenerife for Monday, with a low chance of some weak and occasional rain, mainly during the early hours, followed by breaks in the cloud during the afternoon. In the south and west, cloudy intervals are expected, while the rest of the island will see mostly clear or sunny skies.
Temperatures and wind
Temperatures across the island will range between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. However, the wind remains the main feature of the day. A moderate northeast wind will blow, with strong intervals in the far northwest, the eastern coast, and areas of the southeastern side of the metropolitan area, where there is a low chance of locally very strong gusts during the afternoon.
Outlook for the rest of the Canary Islands
For the archipelago as a whole, the easternmost islands are expected to see cloudy intervals with clear spells during the central hours of the day, though a weak and isolated shower cannot be ruled out. In the north of the mountainous islands, skies will be cloudy with a low probability of weak and occasional precipitation, mainly during the early hours. Elsewhere, it will be mostly clear or sunny. A moderate northeast wind will prevail, with strong intervals in the southeastern and northwestern extremes of the mountainous islands.
