Tenerife weather: Cloudy intervals and 28°C highs for Sunday

Cloudy intervals and a high of 28°C

Cloudy intervals, light rain and maximum temperatures of 28 degrees – that is what the weather forecast has in store for this Sunday in Tenerife. According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the central peaks will see mostly clear skies, while the rest of the island will be dominated by cloudy intervals. These are expected to give way to partly cloudy conditions on the coasts from the morning onwards, and in inland areas later in the afternoon.

Light rain and temperatures

Light rainfall cannot be ruled out in the northeast during the early hours and in inland areas throughout the day. Temperatures will remain largely stable or undergo a slight drop, with the mercury ranging between 22 and 28 degrees. As for the wind, it will be light to moderate from the north, with sea breezes on the west coast. In the central summits, a moderate westerly wind is expected.

Forecast for the rest of the Canary Islands

Looking at the forecast for the archipelago as a whole, the Aemet indicates that the eastern islands will experience cloudy intervals, trending towards partly cloudy or clear skies from the morning onwards. In the western islands, cloudy intervals will prevail, with a low probability of light rain in the north during the early hours and in inland areas during the day. The wind will be light to moderate from the northeast, with sea breezes on the southern and western coasts.
