Tenerife flights: new summer routes for 2026 revealed

New summer flights from Tenerife: airlines boost connectivity in 2026

Tourists travelling from Tenerife this summer will be able to enjoy new routes from the island’s airports, thanks to several airlines committing to expand connections with mainland Spain and the rest of Europe. The summer 2026 season brings one of the biggest improvements in connectivity seen in recent years.

Airlines have strengthened their schedules with new direct routes, more frequent services and the addition of previously unserved destinations across Europe and the Spanish mainland, cementing the island’s position as a major Atlantic hub. The Cabildo of Tenerife highlighted that this improved connectivity will help diversify source markets, encourage year-round visitor arrivals and offer more options for residents wishing to travel from the island.

Alongside the usual offer, new connections have been added to cities in Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal and Sweden, as well as reinforced links with Madrid, Asturias, Valencia and Vigo. Travellers planning a trip in the coming months have a wide variety of destinations on offer, with hugely diverse cultures, cuisines and climates — making it quite a challenge to choose where to spend your next holiday.

Mainland Spain: more flights to key cities

Several airlines have expanded the range of flights available to the most important airports on the mainland. Whether you are travelling for leisure or business, these four regions will see increased traffic to and from the island during the summer season.

Madrid

The airline now operates 11 daily flights and 74 weekly services between Madrid and Tenerife North and South airports. Duration: approximately 2 hours 50 minutes. Average price: between €70 and €160.

Asturias

The connection with the Principality will operate six days a week. Duration: approximately 3 hours. Average price: between €130 and €260.

Valencia

Connections with Valencia are reinforced this summer thanks to two airlines. Duration: approximately 3 hours. Average price: between €110 and €210.

Vigo

The Canary Island airline has increased its schedule to Galicia and will offer daily flights to Vigo. Duration: approximately 3 hours. Average price: between €60 and €100. What to see: the Casco Vello old town, the port, the Cíes Islands and the Ría de Vigo.

Air connections are also being maintained with Valladolid, San Sebastián, Granada, Pamplona and Murcia. In addition, flights to Seville and Badajoz have been added.

Europe: new direct routes to major cities

On the European front, Tenerife will also be connected to great cities across the continent.

Paris

Hardly anything needs to be said about the French capital. Air France is increasing its schedule to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport throughout the summer so you can visit. Duration: approximately 4 hours 15 minutes. Average price: between €180 and €350. Tourists choosing this option can visit the iconic sights such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum and the Champs-Élysées, or wander through Montmartre and other distinctly Parisian neighbourhoods.

Lisbon

The Portuguese airline has expanded its offer to four weekly frequencies connecting Tenerife with the Portuguese capital. Duration: around 2 hours 30 minutes. Average price: between €120 and €240. Although you are travelling by plane, the city’s most famous mode of transport is the iconic tram 28. Lisbon is a beautiful city where you can spend a few days unwinding.

Looking ahead: more routes from autumn and winter

In addition to these additions, the Cabildo has noted that connectivity will continue to grow over the coming months. Starting from autumn, Air Canada will begin the first direct flights between Tenerife and Toronto and Montreal. Air Serbia will inaugurate the connection to Belgrade, and airBaltic will launch new routes to Ljubljana, Liège, Palanga and Groningen during the winter season, further expanding the possibilities for travel from the island.
