A Local Favourite Known for Generous Portions

The venue, located on Plaza de San Pedro, is known to many locals as “Ignacio’s bar,” a reference to one of its historic managers who “is now a bit poorly but is always around; Mary is at the helm now and they continue to fill the bellies of the people of Güímar,” they explain. One aspect that caught their attention was both the size and the generous fillings of the sandwiches, showcasing the slices of pork loin overflowing from the croissant that Jonay tried. “This place has been famous for years for the size of its sandwiches; here a half sandwich is the size of a whole one anywhere else,” they state.

Enormous Value for Money

Among the options offered, they tried the chicken sandwich, the Spanish omelette sandwich, and the pork loin croissant, where the servings of meat were huge and it contained three portions. “This place has a reputation for enormous servings,” they note. Another highly praised aspect of the establishment is its competitive prices, which are considered low given the size of the portions they serve. During their visit, the content creators paid €25.50 in total. Both the sandwiches and the croissant were priced at €4.50 each, a very reasonable price considering their size and filling.

In addition to sandwiches, the establishment also offers natural juices like strawberry with banana or orange with papaya. “Here everything is XL,” they joke. It opens from Wednesday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, it reduces its hours and offers service from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The cafeteria remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays for staff rest.
