New sushi buffet opens in southern Tenerife

Sushi lovers have a new stop in the south of Tenerife. Sushi Wo is an all-you-can-eat buffet with capacity for 200 diners and a concept designed to stand out from the crowd. The content creators behind @guachinchesmodernos recently visited the establishment and did not hesitate to share their experience with followers.

Technology and a five-step system

The restaurant makes full use of the latest technology to guarantee a fast and convenient service. The buffet operates with a menu and customers place their orders through a tablet. Here are the five steps you need to know before visiting:

The buffet has a fixed price; what varies are the drinks and desserts, which are not included.
A wide variety of dishes is on offer.
Diners may order a maximum of five dishes per round, as many times as they wish.
On the tablet, customers select the codes of the dishes they choose, how many of each, and the staff bring them to the table.
Any dish ordered but not consumed incurs a penalty of €2, to encourage awareness of food waste, so the establishment urges customers to order only what they will actually eat.

More than just classic maki and nigiri

The culinary offering goes well beyond classic maki and nigiri. The menu features different varieties of sushi, tartares, bao buns, wok dishes, noodles, hot plates and less common options that surprised the foodie couple. Highlights include strawberry maki, dishes with eel, tuna tartare and various combinations that surprise customers with every bite.

One of the largest sushi restaurants in the archipelago

One of the aspects that caught their attention during the visit was the sheer size of the venue. With space for more than 200 people, it has become one of the largest restaurants of its kind in the archipelago. “It is the biggest all-you-can-eat sushi buffet in the Canary Islands. It seats 200 people,” they comment in the video. The decoration of the venue also stands out, characterised as tasteful and modern, making it a perfect place to enjoy a different dining experience and a great option for a visit with company.

Good value for money

The value for money was another aspect that caught the attention of the content creators. “The quality of the food is surprising,” they say as they try different dishes. The buffet is located in the Oasis shopping centre at Avenida Las Américas 9, Arona. The price is €28.90 for adults and €15.90 for children. However, drinks, desserts and coffee are paid separately. The restaurant also has private parking nearby and accepts card payments. It is open every day from 1.30 pm to 11.00 pm, offering both lunch and dinner service.
