Quevedo confirms El Baifo Tour 2027 dates
After months of speculation and following the release of ‘El Baifo’, Quevedo has finally cleared up one of the biggest questions surrounding his new musical chapter. The Gran Canaria-born singer will tour mainland Spain in 2027 with a limited run of just two cities, but he has also left a message that has sent excitement soaring among his Canarian fans. “In the Canaries, it will be when you least expect it.” With those words, the artist confirmed that the islands will also feature in this new phase, though for now no dates or venues have been announced.
Madrid and Barcelona are the only mainland stops
Quevedo announced this Sunday the first dates for El Baifo Tour 2027 Spain, a tour that will make just two stops on the mainland. Madrid will host two concerts at the Movistar Arena on 9 and 10 April 2027, while Barcelona will also have two shows at the Palau Sant Jordi on 1 and 2 July the same year. The artist himself confirmed that these will be the only mainland cities included in this first leg of the tour.
But the announcement did not end there. Alongside the dates, Quevedo issued a message aimed directly at his fans in the archipelago. “In the Canaries, it will be when you least expect it,” he wrote, fuelling speculation about future concerts on the islands.
A deeply personal project rooted in Canarian heritage
The statement comes at a particularly symbolic moment for the artist, as El Baifo represents one of the projects most closely connected to his Canarian roots. During the album’s promotion, Quevedo explained that one of the creative keys to El Baifo was returning to the way he worked at the beginning of his career, setting aside the expectations and pressure that came with international success. “I needed to do it all without expectations, to take the weight off when it came to creating,” he recently admitted in an interview with this newspaper.
The singer said that reuniting with his usual circle of collaborators allowed him to reconnect with the essence that defined his first steps in music. Quevedo has also stressed the importance of creating from a place of freedom, without the external noise that comes with success. “At the end of the day, creating just comes naturally to me. It’s my favourite thing in the world. I think the purer I can make it, and the less outside noise there is, the better,” he said. That philosophy has shaped an album where reggaeton, Afro sounds, and nods to the Canary Islands come together in what many fans consider the most personal work of his career.
How to get tickets for the Madrid and Barcelona shows
Fans hoping to secure a spot at the Madrid or Barcelona concerts will need to pay close attention to the sales calendar announced by the artist. The first step is to complete the pre-registration, which is available from this Sunday until 3:00pm (mainland Spain time) on Monday 15 June. Only those who register within this window will later be able to access the pre-sale.
According to the organisers, on 16 June users will receive an exclusive code by email that will allow them to take part in the ticket pre-sale. The pre-sale will begin on that same day, 16 June, at midday, while the general sale will open on Thursday 18 June, also at midday.
What about Canary Islands dates?
Excitement is at fever pitch, with Madrid and Barcelona the only confirmed mainland cities on the El Baifo Tour 2027. Meanwhile, Canarian fans are clinging to the phrase Quevedo accompanied the announcement with: “In the Canaries, it will be when you least expect it.” What is more, the artist’s own team threw in a nod to one of the tracks on the new album, reminding fans that “good things always come when you least expect them”, urging them not to miss out on one of the most anticipated tours of 2027.
