Free Easter Bus Tours for Tenerife Residents in Capital

Free panoramic tours for islanders

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society and the company City Sightseeing will offer free tours on the capital’s tourist bus for residents of the island during the Easter holidays. The mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, announced the initiative on Thursday, stating in a communiqué that it will “allow residents to discover one of the capital’s tourist services during the afternoons of these festive days, strengthening their bond with our heritage.”

Service details and iconic route

The free service for residents will run in the afternoons, starting at 4:00 pm, until Sunday, 5th April. During the journey, passengers will be able to see some of the city’s most emblematic sites. These include the Tenerife Auditorium, the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, García Sanabria park, the Nuestra Señora de África Market, and the Museum of Nature and Archaeology, alongside other landmarks on the service’s itinerary.

A special perspective on the capital

The general manager of City Sightseeing Spain, Isaac Flores, emphasised, “We are delighted to continue bringing this service closer to residents of Tenerife during such significant days as Easter, offering a convenient, educational activity designed to enjoy Santa Cruz in a special way.” The service uses open-top, double-decker panoramic vehicles, allowing the tour to be enjoyed from the upper deck. It also features an audio guide with information about the city and its main points of interest.

How to claim your free ticket

Tenerife residents wishing to take advantage of this offer must collect their invitation from the service’s main stop, located in the Plaza de España. They will need to present their National Identity Card (DNI) to prove their residency.
