Tenerife Peñón Fest finalises preparations for its most special edition yet
Tenerife Peñón Fest is putting the finishing touches to what promises to be one of its most special editions, taking place this Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October with two big names at the top of the bill: Loquillo, who will close his 2026 tour at the Tenerife festival, and Amaia, who will perform in the Canary Islands for the first time with an exclusive concert in the archipelago.
The Palmetum car park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will become the epicentre of live music for two days, with a line-up of ten artists bringing together leading figures from Spanish rock, standout names from national pop and indie, and emerging acts. The ninth edition of Tenerife Peñón Fest is built around two days with their own distinct character: a Friday defined by guitars and the energy of rock, and a Saturday given over to pop, new musical trends and some of the most recognisable songs on the Spanish independent scene.
Loquillo to close his 2026 tour on the Friday
Friday 23 October will be headlined by Loquillo, one of the most emblematic figures in Spanish rock, who returns to the Canary Islands five years after his last visit. The artist will bring his Corazones legendarios show to Tenerife, a tour celebrating his extensive musical career and reviving some of the great anthems that have accompanied several generations. His concert at Tenerife Peñón Fest will be his only one in the Canary Islands on this tour and will bring his 2026 run to a close, making the date a special opportunity to reconnect with one of the most recognisable voices in Spanish rock.
Joining Loquillo on the Friday will be Pignoise, a benchmark band of Spanish pop-rock in recent decades; Maika Makovski, one of the most individual and versatile artists on the alternative scene; and Biznaga, a group that has established itself as one of the leading names in contemporary punk-rock. The day will also feature Canarian talent Postcode, tasked with opening the musical programme, while DJ El Especialista Manel Ruiz will provide music between the performances.
Amaia makes her Canary Islands debut on the Saturday
Saturday 24 October will be Amaia’s turn, arriving in the Canary Islands for the first time to give her only concert in the archipelago. The Navarrese artist has established herself as one of the most singular voices on the Spanish music scene thanks to a approach that combines sensitivity, artistic personality and her own way of understanding pop. Her performance at Tenerife Peñón Fest will be one of the most eagerly awaited moments of this edition and a unique opportunity to enjoy her musical world live.
The Saturday line-up is completed by La La Love You, one of the most popular bands on the national independent pop scene, known for the energy of their live shows and songs that have become genuine festival anthems. Carlos Sadness will also appear, bringing his characteristic alternative pop sound and luminous atmospheres to the Palmetum; Melifluo, a project that stands out for its alternative rock approach and enveloping melodies; and San Tosielo, who will open the festival’s second day.

The festival will open its doors at 3pm on both the Friday and the Saturday, with a programme running throughout the afternoon and evening.

More than just concerts
Tenerife Peñón Fest is once again committed to a festival concept that goes beyond concerts, with food areas, rest zones, commercial stands and complementary activities that will allow visitors to enjoy a complete experience in the surroundings of the Palmetum.
The 2026 edition also arrives with growing reach beyond the islands. According to data provided by the organisers, the festival is registering sales in 35 Spanish provinces and several foreign countries, with more than 20% of tickets sold outside Tenerife. These figures reinforce the event’s ability to connect with audiences from different territories and to consolidate Santa Cruz de Tenerife as a destination for enjoying major musical events.
