Tenerife temperatures to ease
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) is forecasting a slight change in the weather for Tenerife this Thursday. After several days in which thermometers have refused to dip below 30°C, milder conditions are finally on the way.
Specifically, a slight drop in temperatures is expected on the coasts, with a more pronounced decrease in the midlands and peaks. Minimums are set to hit 22°C, with maximums of 29°C.

In the central peaks, a strong northwest wind is expected, with very strong gusts possible during daylight hours.

Looking at the forecast for the archipelago as a whole, Aemet indicates that Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will enjoy clear skies, except in the north during the early hours, where cloudy intervals are expected.
On the remaining islands, skies will generally be mostly clear, except on northern slopes, where cloudy intervals are expected—more persistent during the night, with a low probability of light drizzle, mainly in the midlands. Minimum temperatures will see a slight to moderate drop, while maximums will change little on the coasts or fall slightly. A moderate drop is expected elsewhere, which could be significant in the midlands and peaks.
Temperatures are still expected to reach 30°C locally in the southeast of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, as well as in the midlands of the south and west of Gran Canaria. Winds will be moderate from the northeast, with strong intervals in low-lying areas of the southeast and western slopes of the mountainous islands, where there is a low probability of very strong gusts.
