Tenerife welcomes Kany García once again
It happened again in Tenerife. “I have no idea what’s going to happen tonight. But the things you don’t plan always turn out better,” said Kany García as she stepped onto the stage before an expectant crowd at the Recinto Ferial. The days of her debut concert at the Teatro Guimerá in 2022 are now a distant memory. Thousands of fans were waiting for her this evening at the eighth stop of her successful ‘Puerta Abierta’ tour, following her performance last Friday in Gran Canaria.
A reunion of old friends
From the very first notes, this new concert felt like a reunion of old friends. It was a journey through the songs that have defined her nearly twenty-year career, without losing sight of the essence of her most recent album. ‘Puerta Abierta’ represents Kany García’s most honest return to her roots and identity, featuring an imagined dialogue between her adult self and the little girl who learned to tell stories. This is the vision she has brought to life on tour, which has already taken her to stages in Zurich, Milan, Paris and London, and is now touring Spanish cities.
Tour continues across Spain
This Tenerife date confirms the singer’s current success and the excellent reception of her live show, with which the singer-songwriter revisits her personal and musical history while continuing to add new venues and audiences across Europe. After her Canary Islands stop, the tour will continue its Spanish run with final shows in Valencia (Roig Arena, 3 July) and Madrid (Movistar Arena, 5 July).
