Maspalomas Drag Gala a Nationwide Television Hit
The Maspalomas Drag Gala, held in the south of Gran Canaria, brought together over 2 million unique viewers on national television this Thursday. Broadcast for the first time across the whole of Spain on TVE’s La 2 channel, the ceremony was produced by the professionals at the RTVE Canarias Production Centre, led by director Borja Ojeda.
Strong Audience Figures Across Key Demographics
The broadcast, presented by Roberto Herrera and Drag Sethlas and featuring a performance by Mónica Naranjo, attracted an average of 222,000 viewers from across Spain. According to the public broadcaster, it captivated audiences in the main age brackets: 25-44, 45-64, and those over 64.
Record-Breaking Ratings in the Canary Islands
In the Canary Islands, the transmission became the most-watched programme of the day on La 2. It nearly tripled the channel’s average audience share in the Islands with a 6.8% share, representing 32,000 average viewers and 117,000 unique viewers.
Maspalomas Carnival Parade to Be Broadcast This Saturday
The public broadcaster will also televise the Maspalomas Carnival Parade this Saturday on the regional La 2 channel.
