Hijos de la Ruina announce sole Canary Islands concert in Tenerife

Historic date for rap and urban music fans

A historic date awaits rap and urban music lovers in the Canary Islands. Hijos de la Ruina, the celebrated collaborative project featuring Natos, Waor and Recycled J, has confirmed they will play just one concert in the archipelago this year, choosing Tenerife as their base. The much-anticipated live show will take place on 31 October at the Palmetum in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, promising to be one of the most ambitious and well-attended stops on their current national tour.

Tickets on sale this Friday

Tickets for the event will go on sale officially on Friday 19 June via the online platform tomaticket.es. Since this marks the first time the trio have ever performed together in the Canary Islands, organisers anticipate high demand and a rapid sell-out as fans from across all the islands scramble to secure their places.

A new album and star collaborations

After reviving the project in 2025 with the hit singles ‘Bajo zero’, ‘Moltisanti’ and ‘Pierdo el control’, the Madrid-based group released ‘Hijos de la Ruina Vol. 4’ this year. It is the longest studio album of their joint career. For this fourth volume, the artists have enlisted top-tier collaborations that blur generational lines within the Spanish music scene, featuring contributions from Hijos Bastardos, Suite Soprano, Lia Kali, Cano and Canary Islander Cruz Cafuné.

What to expect from the setlist

The setlist for the Palmetum concert will weave together new tracks from this latest album with the generation-defining anthems from their previous trilogy, including ‘Nosotros’, ‘Más alcohol’ and ‘Sudores fríos’. There will also be room to revisit the standout solo hits from each of their individual careers.

From underground cult to mainstream phenomenon

The trajectory of Hijos de la Ruina mirrors the evolution of Spanish underground music into a mainstream phenomenon. In 2012, the project began as an informal neighbourhood collaboration with no commercial ambitions, quickly becoming a cult hit online. By 2016, the release of their second volume cemented the group’s foundations and multiplied their loyal fanbase. In 2021, ‘Vol. 3’ smashed Spotify records, becoming the most-streamed hip-hop album in Spain on its release day and breaking into the global Top 10 for new releases.

Today, the trio boast a digital community of over 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and have amassed more than 700 million total streams. Their live performances are confirming these numbers on the current tour. The group recently drew 10,000 people in Toledo and sold out a show with over 15,000 attendees at the Movistar Arena in Madrid.

What comes next

With a large-scale production, the group will continue touring venues across Spain before the definitive close of this chapter, scheduled for 2027 in the capital, Madrid.
