Tenerife braces for a weekend of music, leisure and culture

Tenerife is preparing for two major days of music, leisure and culture with the celebrations of Noctámbula Tenerife and Summer Pop Tenerife, two events promoted by Noctámbula Arts and Music S. L. that will turn the island into a meeting point for audiences of all ages, combining major national and international artists with gastronomy, crafts, local commerce and new leisure experiences.

Noctámbula Tenerife: Tomorrowland’s only Spanish date

The first of the two, Noctámbula Tenerife, will be held this Saturday 12 September and will have as one of its main attractions the arrival in Spain, as its only concert in the country, of Tomorrowland Symphony of Unity, an experience that combines electronic music with a symphonic performance and which is presented as one of the great drawcards of this edition.

The programme will begin at 3pm and run until 10.30pm, with different spaces and offerings that will allow attendees to enjoy music, gastronomy and leisure throughout the day. From 5pm the 360º Stage programme will get under way, while the Main Stage will begin its activity at 8.30pm with performances by Tomorrowland Symphony of Unity, Indira Paganotto and Meduza. From 3pm, the Terrace Stage will host performances by TaydLeon and Claudia Rutten, while the 360º Stage will welcome Michenlo, DJ Jonay and Dani Chueca from 5pm.

Gastronomy and technology at the heart of the experience

The festival is also committed to offering a different experience compared to other electronic music events, with a special focus on gastronomy and rest and leisure areas. The Terrace will have a wide range of food offerings, with options such as 200 gramos, Sushi Dog, La Jefa, Américo Truck, La Chula, Mestizo, Déjame Vivir, Millófilos and Cachitos Realfood, among others, in a space designed to enjoy the day without the experience being limited to the music and the stage.

Noctámbula will also feature a major technological and audiovisual deployment, with nearly 600 state-of-the-art lighting devices, controlled by five cutting-edge lighting consoles, as well as remote-controlled projectors with camera tracking systems and around 400 square metres of LED screens, among other technologies.

Virtual presenters make their Canary Islands debut

One of the main innovations of this edition will be the introduction of virtual presenters created using artificial intelligence, a proposal developed specifically for the festival and the first time this resource has been used in the Canary Islands at an event of this kind. Five panels will be dedicated to these virtual presenters and to sponsor content, integrating with the rest of the screens and audiovisual resources at the venue to create an immersive and different experience for the audience.

The festival will also feature a Market Km 0, with the participation of brands and projects linked to local talent and production, including Laverny, Que Chachi, Joyas María Cantalapiedra, Inspira Alegría, Dreams and Colours, Atlante Creativo, Amarantea Essencee, Secretos de Arabia and Iki Markets, among others.

Public response has already been notable, with VIP and Ultimate tickets sold out, and only a few remaining for Front Stage and General admission.

Official presentation in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Both this event and Summer Pop Tenerife, which takes place this Sunday, were presented on Wednesday with the participation of the Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez; the Deputy Minister for the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alfonso Cabello; the Youth Councillor of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Serafín Mesa; the Director of Institutional Relations at Promotur, Javier Prieto; the promoter of both events and CEO of Noctámbula Arts and Music SL, Enrique Camacho; and the regional coordinator of music stations for the PRISA group, Alberto Palenzuela.

During the presentation, the Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, said that “Santa Cruz de Tenerife is once again the centre of major concerts, major festivals and major musical events”. He also recalled that the capital “has tradition, spaces, organisational capacity and an audience that responds, as demonstrated by recent events with attendance of more than 100,000 people”.

“A municipality with activities that attract thousands of people is a municipality that generates economy, that allows our businesses to invoice more, and that creates employment around that activity. That is why we do not relent in our determination to energise Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and this weekend, with these two magnificent festivals, we are going to achieve it once again,” the mayor concluded.

Culture and music as real economic drivers

For his part, the Deputy Minister for the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alfonso Cabello, stated that the regional government “is very clear that culture and music are industries and generate real economy. This weekend 1,000 people will be working at these two festivals, which, together with the talent of many artists, makes Santa Cruz de Tenerife once again the cultural capital. It does so in two different disciplines: one related to electronic music and another related to the music scene in Spain”.

“The music scene today cannot be understood without a Canarian accent and without the good work of our people. In the European and Spanish context, people look to the Canary Islands because of what is happening in the Canarian scene, a scene that has been working for years to blossom in this year 2026,” and proof of this is that “the top spots on Spotify at national level are occupied by Canarian artists”. Furthermore, “in the music industry the top positions are being taken by projects driven from the Canary Islands, and that is the result of the good work and the effort that has been carried out over many years”.

The Youth and Training Councillor of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Serafín Mesa, highlighted that “these events also represent a commitment to positioning Tenerife as a destination capable of hosting major productions and taking its place on the circuit of major cultural and musical shows”. Mesa specified that “we want this capacity of Tenerife to attract major events to also serve to promote and showcase the talent we have here. The Cabildo is committed to our artists and our cultural industry, and these major stages are an opportunity for that talent to gain visibility, share space with big names and be able to grow and project itself”.

The Director of Institutional Relations at Tourism of the Canary Islands, Javier Prieto, highlighted that “Noctámbula Tenerife contributes to raising the quality of the islands’ cultural agenda with a unique proposal that combines international and Canarian talent”. Prieto also stressed that “the festival expects to bring together 12,000 spectators and generate an economic impact of more than 2.3 million euros”. Since 2021, Tourism of the Canary Islands has allocated more than 35.3 million euros to sponsoring 538 cultural events, “an investment that benefits both the public and the projection of the Canary Islands as a destination with a diverse, first-class offering”, the Director of Institutional Relations concluded.

A complete experience beyond the music

The promoter of both festivals and CEO of Encaro Factory, Enrique Camacho, explained that “we wanted to create two different festivals, but with a common denominator: offering complete experiences. It is not just about bringing major artists, but about creating spaces in which music coexists with gastronomy, crafts, fashion, leisure and local talent. We want anyone who comes to Noctámbula or Summer Pop to remember the complete experience”.

In this sense, Camacho assured that these two proposals “will not leave anyone indifferent. They are bets where leisure, music and gastronomy combine perfectly in a format that avoids overcrowding so that personal and collective enjoyment is even more satisfying. Noctámbula Tenerife and Summer Pop Tenerife are designed to feel to the maximum two festivals that want to establish themselves in the Canarian, national and international calendar”.

Finally, Alberto Palenzuela, regional coordinator of music stations for the PRISA group, highlighted the importance of Tenerife hosting proposals capable of bringing together different generations around music. “Music continues to be one of the great elements of social connection and these festivals are a magnificent opportunity to enjoy live artists who form part of the soundtrack of many people’s lives and, at the same time, discover new talent”.

Summer Pop Tenerife: the soundtrack of the moment

Summer Pop Tenerife arrives ready to become the great music party of the moment in Spain, bringing together on one stage artists who are dominating the charts, festivals and musical conversations this summer. A line-up designed for very different audiences, but with a common denominator: experiencing live the big hits that are playing right now and discovering the artists who will shape what comes next.

And to do so, Summer Pop will have an essential figure: Tony Aguilar, one of the most recognisable voices in Spanish music radio, presenter of Del 40 al 1 and also of Eurovision. Tony will be the master of ceremonies and DJ at the festival, turning Summer Pop into something more than a succession of concerts: a great live radio show, with the hits currently playing on LOS40 and all the energy of a great music party.

Leire Martínez and Álvaro de Luna lead the bill

Among the main headliners will be Leire Martínez, one of the most recognised and respected voices in Spanish pop and currently one of the artists with one of the most outstanding live performances on the national scene. Leire arrives in Tenerife after a successful tour of America and after touring the main festivals in Spain, and she does so at a particularly sweet moment in her career. Over the past year she has collaborated with artists such as Abraham Mateo, Pole, Saiko, Sergio Dalma, Diego Martín, Edurne and Funambulista, among others, and her track Cabeza de Ratón had one of the strongest entries on the LOS40 chart, placing her among the few artists who manage to be played simultaneously on LOS40 and Cadena Dial.

Álvaro de Luna will also arrive at Summer Pop Tenerife, one of the big names in Spanish pop in recent years, with a repertoire of songs that have become genuine anthems for a whole generation. Alongside him will be Ruslana and Danny Romero, two artists with an enormous connection to the public and capable of providing two of the festival’s fundamental ingredients: songs that everyone knows and an energy that is particularly well experienced live.

A showcase for new urban talent

But Summer Pop also looks squarely at the new generation. La Pantera, Lucho RK, LocoPlaya, Lewis Potter and Christian Cuervo represent the strength of urban music and arrive in Tenerife with a legion of fans and the ability to turn the venue into a genuine party. They are the artists setting the pace of the new scene and promising some of the most explosive moments of the day.

They are joined by a new generation of artists linked to Click & Roll, with Playa Coco, Melania, Mel Ömana, Postcode, Fátima Falcón and Dellacruz, who will bring freshness, emerging talent and new proposals to a line-up designed to cover much of the present and future of Spanish music.

One of the great attractions of Summer Pop Tenerife will also be the chance to see some of the most important artists on its bill in the Canary Islands on a unique occasion. Ruslana, La Pantera, Lucho RK and Leire Martínez will have their only Canary Islands date at Summer Pop, making the festival an exceptional opportunity to enjoy their live performances before the end of the year.

After a summer in which many of these artists have headlined some of the country’s biggest festivals, Summer Pop Tenerife presents itself as the last great opportunity of the year to see them together on the same stage. A day to sing, dance, discover new artists and enjoy the big hits of the moment without leaving the venue.

More than just a concert

And the experience does not end at the stage. From 2pm, Summer Pop will open its doors with Summer Pop Terrace, a gastronomic space with food trucks, music and atmosphere to start the day from the early hours. At the same time, the Market will also open, dedicated to crafts and local fashion, while from 3.30pm the games area will offer Nintendo Switch, a giant screen, inflatables, a 360º XXL machine, games and glitter.

With music, gastronomy, entertainment, activations and a programme designed for different generations, Summer Pop Tenerife offers much more than an afternoon of concerts: it offers the chance to experience live the soundtrack of the current Spanish music scene.
