Tenerife tram introduces summer timetable
Metrotenerife, the public company that runs the Tenerife tram, will introduce its usual summer timetable from Monday 29 June. The operator brings in the seasonal schedule every summer to align its transport services with passenger demand.
More frequent services during peak times
From Monday, Line 1 will run every six minutes during weekday peak hours, while Line 2 will operate every 12 minutes. The summer schedule only applies from Monday to Friday; at weekends and on public holidays, the trams will keep their usual frequencies and run uninterrupted throughout the night.
First phase: 29 June to 5 July
The first phase of the summer timetable runs from 29 June to 5 July. During this period, Line 1 will run every six minutes from 07:00 to 15:00 on weekdays, after which services will space out to intervals of seven and then 15 minutes until the service ends at midnight. On Line 2, trams will run every 12 minutes during the same hours, then every 15 minutes.
Second phase: 6 July to 30 August
From 6 July to 30 August, Metrotenerife will again adjust its services to match demand. On weekdays, Line 1 will run every seven minutes and Line 2 every 14 minutes for most of the day.
