Extra flights for Pope’s visit

Iberia Express has scheduled eight extra flights and nearly 1,500 additional seats between Madrid and the Canary Islands between 9 and 13 June, to coincide with the Pope’s visit to Spain, according to a press release.

Specifically, this increase in operations means two extra flights between Madrid and Gran Canaria on 9 and 10 June, together with three additional services on the Madrid-Tenerife route on 10 and 11 June, and three more for the return leg from Tenerife to Madrid on 12 and 13 June.

Tickets for the Pontiff’s visit to Gran Canaria and Tenerife are already available on the website from 48 euros per one-way journey.
