Canaryfly unveils new booking platform and flexible fares
Canary Islands airline Canaryfly is launching a new digital platform on 19 May, comprising both a website and a mobile app, designed to give passengers greater freedom to tailor each journey to their needs. The revamp is part of the company’s new fare structure, which aims to offer a clearer, more flexible and personalised booking experience.
Built from scratch with users in mind
Through the new website and app, users will be able to select the services they require for each leg of their trip and add extras during the booking process in a straightforward and transparent way. The airline stresses that this is not merely a cosmetic update but a complete rebuild from the ground up. The new platform will include a dedicated page explaining the updated flight options, a revamped frequently asked questions section, and contact forms tailored to different needs, including one specifically for passengers with special requirements.
Designed around real passenger feedback
Canaryfly’s Marketing and Communications Director, Cathaysa Santana, highlighted that the project was developed based on an analysis of real user suggestions, queries and demands. The result, she explained, is a tool that prioritises clarity, simplifies navigation, and makes the purchasing process much easier.
The company also emphasised that the new platform has been designed using clear and inclusive language, with particular attention to accessibility for visually impaired users and to mobile optimisation, given that passengers now handle a large proportion of their bookings via smartphones.
What happens to existing bookings
Canaryfly will honour the terms and conditions of all reservations made before 19 May, the date on which both the new platform and the new fare structure come into effect. The current app will cease to accept new bookings from that day, though it will remain available for passengers to retrieve boarding passes for flights already purchased. Users will need to download the new app from Google Play Store or the App Store.
Three new fare types to suit every traveller
The new fare structure offers a choice between three distinct options. The ‘Con lo Puesto’ (roughly ‘Travel Light’) fare is the most economical, with prices starting at €5 for residents, and is designed for those travelling with minimal luggage. It includes a handbag and an 8kg cabin bag.
The ‘De LowCos’ fare adds the option to check in a suitcase of up to 20kg and allows passengers to change their travel date for an additional fee. Meanwhile, the ‘FullEquip’ fare offers the greatest flexibility, including checked luggage, seat selection, access to the waiting list, and fee-free changes.
In addition, passengers can add extra services such as seat selection, additional baggage, or priority boarding, allowing them to fine-tune their journey to their exact requirements.
A step forward in digital transformation
With this launch, Canaryfly continues its digital transformation and reinforces its commitment to a booking experience that is more flexible, accessible, and centred on the passenger.
