New pizzeria opens in Las Galletas
Italian cuisine continues to be a firm favourite for many, and more and more establishments are betting on serving these recipes with quality ingredients to give customers an unforgettable dining experience. In Tenerife, specifically in the Las Galletas area of Arona, a new pizzeria has just opened its doors. Maestro Pizzería is a spot offering plenty of choice for lovers of Italian food.
Content creator @elsiciliano_tenerife recently paid a visit and did not hesitate to share the experience with his followers. “This seaside pizzeria has just opened in Las Galletas,” he says. Maestro Pizzería opened a few weeks ago and is quickly becoming a must-visit destination in the south of Tenerife for Italian food enthusiasts.
Two pizza styles to choose from
One of the most appealing aspects of the menu is the chance to choose between two different pizza styles. On one hand, there is the contemporary pizza, characterised by a lighter, airier dough and a high crust. On the other, the Roman-style pizza, which is thinner and crispier.
During his visit, the food content creator opted for the Bona pizza, a combination of basil cream, fior di latte, caramelised onion, crispy pancetta and parmesan cream. He notes that “the caramelised onion gives it an incredible touch”.
Sicilian arancini steals the show
However, the dish that surprised him the most was the Sicilian arancino, one of Sicily’s most iconic creations. “Probably one of the best I have tried in Tenerife,” he says. “Very similar to the ones they make in my hometown in Sicily.”
The menu also features other options such as fried burratinas served with dipping sauce to share, various types of fresh pasta, and less common recipes like pasta with white wild boar ragù. In addition, there are sharing plates such as the tris di papas locas, the frittura maestro, and the tagliere salumi e formaggi, ideal for two people.
Sweet treats and opening times
Those with a sweet tooth can also indulge in desserts like gnocco fritto with Nutella or pistachio cream, the pizza dolce maestro, or Neapolitan babà with whipped cream, offering different ways to round off a perfect dining experience.
Maestro Pizzería is located at Calle Varadero, 22, in Las Galletas, in the municipality of Arona. It currently holds a 4.9-star rating on Google, a reflection of the satisfaction of those who have visited and enjoyed its creations, despite being a newly opened establishment. It is open daily from 12:30 to 22:30 for lunch and dinner, except on Tuesdays, when it closes for staff rest.
Seaside location a bonus
Beyond the food, one of the restaurant’s biggest draws is its location. Situated right by the sea, it allows diners to enjoy the experience with great views, and “the best part is that afterwards you can take a stroll around the Las Galletas area,” the content creator recommends.
