HiperDino sells seven million egg packs in 2025

HiperDino is continuing its commitment, under the pricing strategy developed by its Pricing department, to keep essential household products like eggs accessible to Canarian families. According to the company’s 2025 year-end figures, HiperDino sold seven million packs of eggs across its stores last year.

Unrivalled variety and the best prices

Roberto Suárez, head of the egg section in HiperDino’s Commercial Department, highlighted that the supermarket chain’s wide range of egg references is unrivalled. “We work with nine different egg references, ranging from traditional eggs to free-range, organic, quail eggs, and one of the best-selling items among our customers: corn-fed eggs, which come from hens fed on this type of grain,” he explained.

“In addition to our strength in adapting and offering a wide variety to meet our customers’ demand, we have the most competitive prices on the market, something our customers really appreciate. So we can confidently say that HiperDino offers a quality product, a household essential, at the best possible price,” Suárez added.

Local suppliers lead the way

Suárez detailed that HiperDino works with nine different suppliers to guarantee the supply of eggs in its stores. Among them, local suppliers from Gran Canaria and La Palma stand out in terms of sales volume. HiperDino is also the only supermarket chain in the islands that sells quail eggs under the Codorcan brand, sourced from a local producer.

Last year, the chain generated €21 million in sales from this essential staple of Canarian cuisine.

Best-selling pack sizes

The most popular pack formats are the 12-unit boxes of size M eggs, weighing between 53 and 63 grams, and the 12-unit boxes of size L eggs, weighing between 63 and 73 grams, both sourced from the islands. “This consumer behaviour shows that our customers prioritise buying fresh, locally produced eggs in smaller sizes, as they prefer to shop more frequently,” Suárez concluded.
