Arona Jazz Festival 2026 Unveils Open-Air Lineup

The Culture Department of Arona Council presented the Arona Jazz Festival 2026 this Wednesday. The event will transform Los Cristianos’ Plaza de la Iglesia into a live music stage on 24th and 25th April, starting at 8:00 PM, with two evenings of open-air concerts.

Boosting Cultural Life in the Resort

The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Arona, Fátima Lemes Reverón; the Councillor for Culture, Naím Yánez Alonso; Carlos Delgado, President of the Los Cristianos Open Commercial Zone; and the festival director, Pedro Marcos Volf. They detailed the lineup and format of a festival that adds cultural programming to the resort and strengthens the municipality’s April calendar.

Mayor Fátima Lemes Reverón highlighted that “Los Cristianos will experience two nights of live music in an emblematic square, with a festival that adds cultural quality and activity to the streets.” She emphasised that “this type of event reinforces the life of the town, generates movement in the area, and consolidates Arona as a municipality capable of offering attractive, high-level cultural programming.”

Diverse Programme Under the Stars

For his part, Councillor Naím Yánez Alonso stated, “We have put together a lineup with very different proposals, but with the common denominator of live performance and fusion, so the public can enjoy a complete experience under the stars.” Yánez added that “the Plaza de la Iglesia is a perfect space for an intimate and open format, and we have brought the festival back here, where music will be enjoyed in the heart of Los Cristianos.”

Festival Schedule and Performers

The festival programme will feature the Christian Cabrera Quintet on Thursday, 24th April. This project is led by the guitarist from La Palma and features original compositions of contemporary jazz. They will be followed by Las Capullitas de Alelí, a stage proposal that reinterprets popular music from the Iberosphere with a contemporary aesthetic, combining vocal harmonies and theatrical elements.

On Friday, 25th April, it will be the turn of Los Jinetes del Groove, with a live set marked by a mix of jazz, funk and soul. The festival will close with the Omar Acosta & Leo Rondón Quartet, featuring guest artist Pastora Andrade, a project that fuses contemporary jazz, Venezuelan music and world music.

Arona Council’s Culture Department invites residents and visitors to attend this new edition of the festival and enjoy two nights of live music at the Plaza de la Iglesia in Los Cristianos.
