Monday: a light breeze and a few spots of rain

Spring settles in across the Canary Islands

Monday brings classic springtime weather to the archipelago. The trade winds are back in force, keeping things mild and mostly dry. The northern slopes of the mountain islands will see the most cloud, with a slight chance of a light drizzle, but for most of the day, it will be dry.

Temperatures and the Atlantic

Temperatures are holding steady, with no major changes expected. Expect cool mornings and pleasant daytime highs. The trade wind will blow moderate across the islands, with stronger gusts possible on exposed southeastern and northwestern slopes. Out on the Ocean, conditions are rough along northern and western coasts, with a combined swell from the north-northeast pushing waves up to two metres high. Southern coasts and sheltered bays will see only a slightly choppy ocean.
