Binter orders five more Embraer E195-E2 jets

Binter expands fleet with new Embraer order

Canary Islands airline Binter has placed an additional firm order for five Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, with four purchase rights, during the Farnborough International Airshow in London, the Brazilian manufacturer has announced.

Ideal for inter-island and international routes

Embraer highlighted that the aircraft plays a “fundamental” role in the Spanish airline’s operations, thanks to its range and capacity, which are “ideal” for connections between the Canary Islands and destinations elsewhere in Spain or abroad. All of Binter’s E2 aircraft feature a single-class configuration with 132 seats, while the cabin offers generous legroom and Embraer’s traditional 2×2 seating layout.

Efficiency and emissions reduction

“The E195-E2 is the largest model in Embraer’s E-Jets E2 family and stands out for its industry-leading efficiency, reduced emissions and exceptional fuel savings,” the manufacturer added.

Arjan Meijer, President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said Binter has become a benchmark for successful E2 operations, adding that this fourth firm order reinforces their confidence in the aircraft’s performance.
