Acua Water Park – the only water park in Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura is best known for its beaches and wind, but there’s one place that saves the day when the kids have had enough sand and you’ve had enough of frying in the sun. Acua Water Park in Corralejo is the only water park on the island and one of the few places where the whole family can cool off on slides instead of battling ocean waves. The park covers 25,000 m², has 14 water attractions, a toddler zone, and a wave pool that can keep kids busy for hours. Where is Acua Water Park and how to get there
Acua Water Park (formerly Baku Water Park) is located at Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen 41, in the tourist area of Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura. If you’re staying at hotels along the main avenida, the park is literally right on your doorstep. From the center of Corralejo (around the port) it’s about 20-25 minutes walking south.

Opening hours and season
Acua Water Park operates seasonally – the park is not open year-round. The 2026 season starts on March 28, and the last day is November 8. The specific hours depend on the time of year:

Important note – the water attractions close 30 minutes before the park closes. The Wednesday and Thursday closures outside peak season are new since 2024, so make sure to check the current schedule on the park’s website before visiting.

A family with two children (2 adults + 2 children aged 4-11) will pay around 106 EUR for entry. Tickets bought online give you faster entry – no queuing at the ticket office.

Slides and attractions – what to expect at Acua Water Park
The park has 14 water attractions divided into three zones – for thrill-seekers, for relaxation, and for the little ones. Most slides require a minimum height of 120 cm.
Thrill slides (min. 120 cm)
Kamikazes – two almost vertical slides where you reach speeds of up to 30 km/h. The most extreme attraction in the park. If you love that moment when your stomach gets left somewhere at the top – this is your slide.
Splash Race (Soft Slides) – six racing lanes, 70 meters long and 16 meters high. You’re down in less than 6 seconds. Perfect for a family competition – who’s first to the bottom?
Fast River (Rio Rápido) – over 100 meters of twists and turns and a ramp on an inflatable ring. Despite the intimidating name, the difficulty is low – a great option to start with.
Zig-Zags – two slides in colorful tubes with lots of turns. You spin your way down and can’t see what’s around the next bend. Medium difficulty.
Dark Cave – the only dark slide in Fuerteventura. You ride in a two-person tube in complete darkness. Low difficulty, but plenty of excitement – especially the first time, when you don’t know what to expect.
Pools and relaxation zone
Wave Pool – everyone’s favorite. A pool with a gentle entry (depth 0-1.80 m), waves switched on every hour: at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. Kids could happily spend the whole day in here.
Lazy River (Rio Lento) – 220 meters of closed-loop tubing through a tunnel. Perfect for a break between slides. Fair warning – the current is weak and sometimes you have to push off the walls. It’s the most criticized feature in the park, but it still does the job for chilling out after Kamikazes.
Castle Jump – a climbing structure with a jump into a 3-meter pool, 35 meters long. Minimum height 120 cm.
Jacuzzi – two large heated jacuzzis with no age restrictions. Perfect for parents while the kids go wild on the slides.
Kids zone (up to 130 cm tall)
Kids Area (Children’s Lagoon) – mini slides with animal figures and fountains. For toddlers up to 120 cm tall.
Lagoon Splash – colorful tubes, water jets and water curtains. No height limit, but children under 100 cm must wear armbands and be accompanied by an adult.
Mini Kamikazes – a scaled-down version of the adult slides for brave little ones. Up to 130 cm.
Mini Splash Race – smaller racing lanes. Up to 130 cm.
Family Slides – gentle slides into shallow water, no surprises. Up to 130 cm.
Acua Water Park with kids – what you need to know
The park is clearly family-focused and does a good job of it. Lifeguards are stationed at every attraction, the kids zone is well developed, and sun loungers with umbrellas included in the ticket price are rare in water parks.
By age group:
Toddlers (0-3) – free entry. They can use the Kids Area, Lagoon Splash and jacuzzis. Children under 100 cm must wear armbands and be accompanied by an adult. Changing tables are available in the restrooms.
Children 4-8 (under 120 cm) – the entire kids zone plus the wave pool (with a parent – depth reaches 1.80 m). Mini Kamikazes, Mini Splash Race and Family Slides are their kingdom.
Children 8+ (over 120 cm) – access to all attractions in the park, including the adult slides. Fast River, Dark Cave and Splash Race are perfect for this age group.
Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. For teenagers aged 12-16, a family member’s ID must be shown at the ticket office.
Practical tips for visiting Acua Water Park
When to go: Weekdays are best – weekends are noticeably more crowded. Arrive at opening time (10:00 or 10:30 depending on the season) – the first hour has the shortest queues. June and September are a good compromise between weather and crowds.
What to bring:
- Sunscreen – the sun in Fuerteventura is seriously intense
- A hoodie or windbreaker – Corralejo is windy and it gets chilly between slides, even on a warm day. This is the number one surprise for tourists
- Towels – the park doesn’t provide them
- Water shoes – some surfaces can be rough
- Some cash for the locker and ring rental
How much time to plan: A typical visit is 3-5 hours. If you’re only interested in the slides – 2-3 hours is enough. With kids using the toddler zone and the wave pool – you can easily fill a whole day from opening to closing.
Ring trick: You need a tube for Fast River and Dark Cave. You can rent a yellow ring (6 EUR + 5 EUR deposit) and keep it all day, or wait for a free blue ring (free of charge). The wait for a blue ring is usually short.
Food: Officially you’re not allowed to bring food in from outside, but checks aren’t strict. The park has the Acua Wave restaurant (burgers, pizza, sandwiches) and a seasonal poolside bar (July-August). The food quality is average – if you care about a good meal, eat before or after your visit in Corralejo.
