Film Symphony Orchestra Returns with Toon Story Spectacular
The acclaimed Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) is returning to the Canary Islands with ‘Toon Story’, a spectacular show paying tribute to the most iconic soundtracks from animation cinema. The production will arrive in Tenerife and Gran Canaria in late April and early May as part of a 30-city national tour.
Concert Dates and Venues
The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Gran Canaria will host the concerts from 24 to 26 April. Meanwhile, the Adán Martín Auditorium in Tenerife will welcome the orchestra on 2 and 3 May. In total, more than 12,000 people are expected to enjoy this experience across the two islands.
A Musical Journey Through Animation History
Under the direction of Constantino Martínez-Orts, the orchestra of over 70 artists will take audiences on a musical journey through several generations. The performance features sixteen iconic themes, from unforgettable classics like The Lion King, Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin to more recent productions such as How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda.
A Show for All the Family
Designed as a family-friendly proposal, ‘Toon Story’ combines symphonic music, narrative, and visual spectacle. The staging aims to transport the audience back to their childhood through the emotion, humour, and adventure that characterise animation films.
A Decade of Cinematic Music Excellence
With over a decade of history, 350 concerts, and more than 650,000 spectators, the Film Symphony Orchestra has established itself as one of Spain’s most recognised ensembles for performing film music. This new tour strengthens its bond with the Canary Islands, where it has consistently sold out in previous editions, cementing a proposal that blends musical quality and spectacle for all ages.
