Playa JardΓn reopens after water quality confirmed safe
Puerto de la Cruz Council announced this Friday the reopening of the central cove at Playa JardΓn, which had been closed since Wednesday after analysis by the Directorate General of Public Health of the Government of the Canary Islands confirmed that the water quality in the area is suitable for swimming.
Fourth closure of the year
The beach had recorded a level of intestinal enterococci above the permitted value, which forced its closure β the fourth so far this year. “We appreciate the collaboration and understanding of residents and visitors alike, and we regret the inconvenience caused,” the council posted on its social media channels.
