Monday: stable skies and a flat Atlantic

Start of the week, calm conditions

Monday opens the week with stable weather and no major surprises. The morning will see some scattered clouds, but the sun should break through as the day progresses. Local afternoon clouds are expected inland and across southern parts of La Palma, El Hierro, and spots in the southwest of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

Daytime temperatures will rise slightly in mid-elevations and on the peaks. Coastal areas will see values between 23°C and 29°C. The wind will be a light to moderate northeast breeze, stronger on the southeast and northwest slopes of the higher islands, as well as in the northern midlands of Tenerife and on El Hierro’s peaks. On the summits, a light westerly wind will blow, becoming stronger from the southwest on Mount Teide.

At sea, conditions are largely calm with a slightly choppy ocean along most coasts. Further offshore, a rougher ocean state is expected, with a one-metre ocean swell from the northwest.
