Accor Announces First Ibis Styles Hotel for Canaries in Puerto de la Cruz

Accor Makes Canary Islands Debut with New Tenerife Hotel

The French hotel group Accor has announced its arrival in the Canary Islands following an agreement with Stay Unique to develop the first hotel under the Ibis Styles brand in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. The hotel is scheduled to open from mid-2027.

Comprehensive Renovation for New Resort Hotel

The project will be developed under a franchise model, with Stay Unique overseeing operations. It involves a complete renovation of the establishment to bring it in line with the brand’s standards. The future Ibis Styles Puerto de la Cruz will feature 101 rooms, alongside a lobby bar, restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, gym, and car park. A multi-purpose room for events and meetings will also be included.

A Strategic Move for Accor’s Iberian Expansion

Coré Martín, Vice President of Development for Spain and Portugal at Accor, commented: “Entering the Canary Islands was an essential step in our roadmap for Spain, and doing so with such an exciting project in Puerto de la Cruz is a real success.” With this new opening and destination, Accor highlighted that it continues to consolidate its leadership in the economy segment through the Ibis Styles brand.

Strengthening the Ibis Family Portfolio

Currently, the French giant operates a network of hotels under the Ibis Styles, Ibis, and Ibis Budget brands, totalling 80 establishments in Spain—15 of which are Ibis Styles—and 25 in Portugal, four of which are Ibis Styles. This brings the total for the Ibis Family in Iberia to 105 hotels and 10,892 rooms.
