Fog disrupts flights at Tenerife North airport
Adverse weather conditions around Tenerife North airport forced the diversion of four flights this Thursday. According to Aena, the affected flights originated from Málaga, which was diverted to Gran Canaria; A Coruña and Lanzarote, both of which were redirected to Tenerife South; and Gran Canaria, which returned to its point of origin.
Fog in the vicinity of the airport caused the diversions on Thursday, although no cancellations have been recorded so far. Tenerife is not currently under any warning from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has however activated alerts on La Palma due to rainfall.
