Rain chances increase across the western islands
Thursday sees a noticeable increase in cloud cover across the Canary Islands, with intermittent showers spreading beyond the eastern slopes of La Palma and Tenerife into El Hierro, La Gomera and parts of Gran Canaria. The eastern islands remain mostly dry and bright.
Temperatures are dropping, particularly in mountainous areas, while the rest of the archipelago sees little change. Winds remain light overall, except on the Tenerife peaks where they pick up and shift to a northerly direction, turning northwest by evening.
The Atlantic is generally calm. Slightly choppy conditions with waves under one metre in the north, and calm ocean conditions in the south.
