Monday brings more cloud and a chance of drizzle
Clouds will increase across the Canary Islands on Monday, with a low chance of light, sporadic drizzle in interior areas. The eastern islands may see a light haze of Saharan dust at altitude, clearing overnight. The Atlantic will be rough, particularly for northern and western coasts.
General Outlook
Expect variable cloud cover, thickening from midday, especially over the more mountainous islands. Daytime highs will drop slightly in mid-altitude and summit areas, as well as on the western slopes of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. A light to moderate northwesterly wind will blow, with possible strong gusts on northeastern and southwestern slopes. At sea, a combined northwesterly swell will bring waves up to 2 metres to coasts exposed to the north and west. Elsewhere, the ocean will be rough.

Scattered clouds will give way to overcast skies from midday, with a chance of weak, occasional showers. The west will stay clear. A light to moderate northwesterly wind. A high of 22°C in Santa Cruz.
Gran Canaria
Mostly clear morning skies will become cloudy by midday. A weak, isolated spot of rain cannot be ruled out. A light calima is probable at altitude, clearing overnight. Light to moderate northwesterly wind. Temperatures in the capital ranging from 17°C to 21°C.
Lanzarote
Cloudy on the western slope. Mostly clear elsewhere. Light to moderate northwesterly wind, with a chance of strong gusts in the east. Probable calima at altitude. Temperatures in Arrecife from 17°C to 24°C.
Fuerteventura
Cloud cover on the western and northern faces. Mostly clear elsewhere. Moderate northwesterly wind with probable strong gusts in the east and on the Jandía peninsula in the morning and late afternoon. Highs between 20°C and 25°C.
La Palma
Mostly clear in the morning, clouding over in the afternoon. Local clouds could bring a weak, occasional spot of rain. A light northeasterly breeze will pick up in the afternoon. Strong gusts are possible in the southwest. Pleasant temperatures.
La Gomera
Mostly clear or sunny, except in the north and interior which will cloud over in the afternoon. Light northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures between 19°C and 24°C on the coasts.
El Hierro
Cloudy in the north and interior. Mostly clear elsewhere. Light to moderate northwesterly wind. A maximum of around 17°C in Valverde.
La Graciosa
Variable cloud cover. Light northwesterly wind. Temperatures in Caleta de Sebo from 16°C to 21°C.
