Storm Therese Weakens but Rain Warnings Persist
Storm Therese, after unleashing its full force on Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and La Palma yesterday, has lost strength this Wednesday. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has downgraded its rain alerts to a low-risk level, specifically yellow warnings, for five islands.

Tenerife
The island is under a yellow rain warning today from 12:00 until 18:00 in the east, south, and west. An accumulated rainfall of 15mm in one hour is expected, primarily affecting the western slopes. These rains may be accompanied by storms.
Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria also has a yellow rain warning today from 12:00 until 18:00 in the east, south, and west. An accumulated rainfall of 15mm in one hour is forecast, mainly on the western slopes, potentially with storms.
La Palma
La Palma is under a yellow rain warning today until 12:00 in the east, west, and highland areas. An accumulated rainfall of 15mm in one hour is expected, chiefly on the western slopes, and may be accompanied by storms.
La Gomera
The entire island of La Gomera has a yellow rain warning in place today until 12:00. An accumulated rainfall of 15mm in one hour is anticipated, affecting the western slopes most significantly, with possible storms.
El Hierro
Similarly, the whole island of El Hierro is under a yellow rain warning today until 12:00. Forecasters predict an accumulated rainfall of 15mm in one hour, primarily on the western slopes, potentially accompanied by storms.
