Six Injured in Yaiza Collision

Six people have been injured, two of them seriously, in a head-on collision between a truck and several cars in the municipality of Yaiza on Lanzarote. The injured parties are two women, aged 72 and 70, who at the time of assistance were suffering from serious multiple trauma with a grave prognosis; two men, aged 78 and 72, with moderate trauma; and two women, aged 58 and 30, with the same medical assessment.

Emergency Response Activated

The incident occurred at around 16:13 on Thursday on the LZ-2 road, at which point the Canary Islands Government’s Coordination Centre for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 112 received the alert. All necessary emergency resources were immediately activated: two advanced life support ambulances and three basic life support ambulances from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC); units from the Lanzarote Fire Consortium and officers from the Guardia Civil.
