La Palma Residents Outraged by Days-Long Illegal Rave

La Palma neighbourhood disrupted by non-stop party

Residents of the La Punta neighbourhood in Tijarafe, La Palma, have expressed their anger to this newspaper over a rave party that began at 3:00 pm on Friday at the so-called ‘Casa del Húngaro’ and has still not concluded. The local council has requested the Guardia Civil to intervene in this illegal event, which is primarily attended by foreign nationals dancing for days to extremely loud music.

Police intervention and resident complaints

“We cannot sleep, the sound of the music is unbearable and furthermore the participants are engaging in anti-social behaviour,” some of the affected locals pointed out to this outlet. They also complained that attendees are occupying private land to park their vehicles. A patrol from the armed institute, dispatched from the Los Llanos de Aridane barracks, has now taken charge of the situation at the rave.

History of problematic parties at the location

This is not the first time the ‘Casa del Húngaro’ has hosted a ‘rave’ party, where loud electronic music plays non-stop for days on end. The recurring nature of these events has compounded the frustration for local residents, who are now demanding a permanent solution to the noise and disruption.
