In Valle Tabares, within the municipality of La Laguna, you will find Guachinche del Sheriff – a spot serving up dishes from the archipelago that has become a must-visit for anyone seeking generous portions.
Content creators @guachinchesmodernos recently visited the restaurant and were quick to share their experience with followers, singling out the meat and seafood sharing boards. “These boards are absolutely smashing it. There are both sea and land options, and they are ideal for sharing between four or five people,” they say.
Seafood and meat boards for groups
One of the main draws at this guachinche is its sharing boards, which have become a perfect choice for anyone looking to eat out in a group. “The summer seafood board is back,” they announce in their video. But the offering does not stop with seafood – the restaurant also serves up a hearty meat board.
The seafood board combines chips, octopus, squid, cuttlefish, langoustines, Padrón peppers, wrinkly potatoes, fish churros and salad. “Just look at that – it’s an absolute beast,” they exclaim. Meanwhile, the meat version comes with ribs, chicken breast, chistorra sausage, sausages, secreto iberico, steak, chips and salad.
“It is great because if one person fancies meat and another fancies fish, you can come as a group and there is food for everyone,” they highlight.
Goat meat is a must-try
Beyond the sharing boards, one of the most recommended dishes for anyone visiting the restaurant is the goat meat. “You cannot leave without trying the goat meat,” they insist in the video, also praising other dishes such as stuffed mushrooms with almogrote cheese sauce and escaldón (gofio mash).
One detail that catches the eye of every customer is the roulette wheel set up inside the restaurant.
