Drone display forms the Canary Islands above Los Realejos
The image of the eight Canary Islands united in the sky to form Tenerife surprised attendees at the 9th Gran Fiesta de los Vinos de Tenerife this Saturday, held at Playa de El Socorro in Los Realejos. The moment, captured in a video published by Turismo de Los Realejos, shows the drone spectacle that provided the visual finale to a day dedicated to wine, gastronomy and music.
Dozens of people gathered in front of the sea to follow the luminous choreography and film the figure taking shape in the sky with their mobile phones. The display used numerous illuminated drones to draw different shapes over the coast. Among them appeared a representation of the Archipelago, which eventually gave way to the silhouette of Tenerife, one of the moments that drew the most attention from those present.
A night of wine and music at Playa de El Socorro
The celebration took place during the night of Saturday 12 September at one of the best-known coastal spots in Los Realejos. Playa de El Socorro hosted the programme of the Gran Fiesta de los Vinos de Tenerife for hours, combining food and wine activity with various musical offerings. The drone show added a visual element to the celebration and allowed those on the beach to contemplate the luminous figures against the night sky.
The video shared by Turismo de Los Realejos captures in particular the audience’s reaction as the shapes evolved. Attendees follow the lights from the coast while the drone drawing changes until it depicts the island of Tenerife.
79 wines from 25 wineries, with Gran Canaria as guest island
This edition of the 9th Gran Fiesta de los Vinos de Tenerife brought together 79 wine references from 25 wineries, as well as eight restaurants offering 37 gastronomic options. Gran Canaria was the guest island, with nine wineries from the Gran Canaria PDO and 15 references. Tenerife was represented by 16 wineries, with 64 wines from the Valle de La Orotava, Islas Canarias, Abona and Tacoronte-Acentejo designations of origin. The food offering also included vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
During the day, Vamos y la liamos, Sin cobertura and Stereogroove performed, with live music from 6pm until the early hours.
