Wednesday brings a welcome drop in wind speed across the Canary Islands. The Atlantic should also calm down, offering a more settled day overall.
General conditions
Winds will be lighter than recent days. Expect a light to locally moderate north-easterly breeze on the southeast and northwest slopes of the taller islands. From midday, a light westerly flow will develop on the peaks of La Palma and Tenerife.
The western islands will see variable cloud cover, with sunny spells mixing with cloudier periods. Most of this cloud will be local in nature, with its vertical development limited to below 1,200–1,300 metres. The eastern islands, meanwhile, will start and end the day with low clouds.
Temperatures remain largely unchanged, staying typical for the season. The Ocean is calming down: the biggest waves will hit the northern coasts but should stay under one metre. Near the east and southeast coasts of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, plus the southern shores of the higher islands, conditions will be nearly flat calm.

Variable cloud cover with a light north-easterly wind, locally moderate at times. On the Teide National Park, expect a light westerly breeze.
Gran Canaria
Mostly clear or sunny skies. Warm weather, with the coolest spots in the northern midlands (medianías).
Lanzarote
Mostly clear skies with warm temperatures. A light to moderate north-northeasterly wind will blow.
Fuerteventura
Scattered clouds with plenty of sunny hours. A light trade wind breeze, with maximum temperatures around 30ºC.
La Palma
Grey skies will dominate during the midday and early afternoon hours, but it will be mostly clear at dawn and again towards the end of the day.
La Gomera
Few clouds with a light wind from the north. Maximum temperatures will reach around 30ºC.
El Hierro
Sunshine with variable cloud cover. A light to moderate trade wind breeze will blow.
La Graciosa
Maximum temperatures around 28ºC with intervals of low clouds. Very little wind.
