canary islands weather tuesday 23 june

Tuesday: more clouds and light rain expected

A somewhat cloudier Tuesday is on the cards for the Canary Islands, with an increased chance of light rain, particularly in the midlands of the western islands. The eastern islands and the south of Gran Canaria will hold onto the sunnier spells. The Atlantic remains calm, and daytime temperatures will dip slightly.

General conditions

Daytime temperatures are expected to drop a little, especially in the highlands of La Palma and Tenerife. Coastal areas will see pleasant highs between 22–28°C. A light to moderate northerly wind will prevail, with a gentle ocean breeze along the southwest coasts of the taller islands. On the peaks, expect a light to moderate westerly breeze, which will strengthen to strong gusts around El Teide in the afternoon. Out on the ocean, conditions are calm with slightly choppy waters and waves staying well under a metre high.
