Sunday brings a familiar spring pattern to the Canary Islands: a moderate trade wind feeding cloud into northern areas, while southern coasts stay mostly clear. A few light and occasional showers are possible over northern slopes, but most of the day will be dry.
General conditions
Temperatures remain stable. Daytime highs will edge up slightly in inland spots on Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and the western islands. Overnight lows will be a touch milder across central and southern Tenerife. Elsewhere, expect cool mornings and pleasant late spring afternoons.
The moderate alisio wind will pick up near the southeast and northwest corners of the larger islands, where gusts could be locally strong. On the water, a north-northeasterly swell will affect northern coasts and west-facing shores on El Hierro, La Gomera, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, with waves up to 2 metres. Southern coasts remain sheltered, with waves barely reaching 1 metre.

Tenerife
Cloudy skies in the north and northeast, with a risk of light and occasional rain. Local afternoon clouds may form over the south and west, though any shower is unlikely. Moderate alisio wind, strongest along the east-southeast coast. Temperatures in the capital: 18°C to 23°C.
Gran Canaria
The classic “panza de burro” cloud bank will sit over the north and northeast, bringing a chance of light and sporadic rain. Elsewhere, mostly clear or with scattered cloud. Moderate trade wind with possible strong gusts in the northwest and southeast. Las Palmas: 18°C to 22°C.
Lanzarote
Variable cloud, with the outside chance of a light shower in the north and west. Moderate alisio wind. Arrecife: 17°C to 23°C.
Fuerteventura
Cloudy intervals, most noticeable inland. The moderate alisio wind will strengthen from the south during the afternoon. Highs between 20°C and 25°C.
La Palma
Variable cloud cover, thickest in the north and east where a stray drop is possible. Elsewhere, cloudier in the afternoon. Moderate trade wind, picking up over the southeast. Santa Cruz de La Palma: 16°C to 21°C.
La Gomera
Cloudy in the north and inland areas. The rest of the island will see mostly clear skies. Moderate alisio wind. High around 23°C in the capital.
El Hierro
Cloudy in the north and northeast, clearing as the day goes on. Elsewhere, mostly clear or sunny. Moderate trade wind and pleasant spring temperatures.
La Graciosa
Variable cloud cover, with a slight chance of a light and isolated shower. Moderate alisio wind. Caleta de Sebo: 17°C to 22°C.
