Monday: clouds give way to sunny spells

Compiled with the help of artificial intelligence, based on weather data. Source below the article.

Monday starts with cloud cover in the north, but sunny spells will break through by midday. A slight rise in temperatures is on the cards, especially for the overnight minimums.

General outlook

The northern and northeastern coasts of the more mountainous islands will see variable cloud cover, with the odd stray drop possible during the early hours. Elsewhere, expect mostly clear skies or scattered clouds.

Daytime highs on the coast will range from 26ºC to 31ºC. Winds will be a light to moderate alisio (trade wind), but on the peaks, a westerly component will pick up, turning strong across Tenerife’s central summits.

The Atlantic will be rough on northern exposed coasts, with an ocean swell from the northwest pushing waves above 1.5 metres. The more sheltered southern shores will see calmer, slightly choppy conditions, except for the southeastern coasts of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, where the ocean will be calm.
