Cloud dominates the north and northeast of the mountainous islands this Friday, with light rain possible on the northern slopes and over much of Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Graciosa. Elsewhere it is a day of scattered cloud, thickest across southern Tenerife, with the trade wind blowing briskly.

The classic “panza de burro” cloud sheet settles over the north and the capital, with a few drops possible at mid-altitudes. Mostly clear elsewhere. Temperatures dip a little, with highs of 24–30ºC. Moderate to strong trade wind, gusting 50–70km/h.
Lanzarote
Abundant low cloud across the north and west, with the odd drop possible. Sunny spells elsewhere and slightly milder conditions, with highs of 23–28ºC. Moderate northerly wind.
Fuerteventura
Cloudy skies, particularly across the northern and western half of the island, with a mix of cloud and clear spells elsewhere. Highs of 24–30ºC and a moderate trade wind.
La Palma
Plenty of cloud over the north and east, where occasional light drizzle is likely. Sunny spells in the rest of the island. Temperatures ease down slightly and the trade wind stays moderate.
La Gomera
Cloudy across the north and parts of the summit, with a little light rain. Sunshine elsewhere, milder temperatures and a moderate north to northeast wind.
El Hierro
Cloudy over the north and around the capital, with the odd drop not ruled out. Clear skies elsewhere, slightly cooler temperatures and a moderate to strong trade wind.
La Graciosa
Cloudy skies and perhaps the odd drop of rain. Temperatures edge down a little, with a moderate north to northeast wind of 20–30km/h.
