Thursday is set to be a stable day across the Canary Islands, with more sunshine than clouds and temperatures typical for the season. The anticyclone remains in control, driving a moderate trade wind from the northeast.
General conditions
A band of low clouds will affect northern coasts during the morning and again after mid-afternoon. These clouds will sit below 1,200–1,300 metres and could release a few light drops in Tenerife, La Palma or Gran Canaria, though rainfall is unlikely. Elsewhere, skies will be mostly clear.
Daytime temperatures will reach around 30°C across most of the archipelago, hitting 32–33°C in Gran Canaria and 28°C on La Graciosa.
The Atlantic will be slightly choppy to rough, with an ocean swell from the north of about 1 metre. There will also be a 1-metre swell from the south and southwest along the southern and western coasts of La Palma, El Hierro, La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Mostly clear skies, except in the north, where clouds will build below 1,200–1,300 metres. A few isolated drops are possible in the mid-elevations of the northeast.
Gran Canaria
The famous ‘panza de burro’ – a bank of low clouds – will cover the north and northeast below 1,000 metres. The rest of the island will be sunny and hot, with highs of 32–33°C.
Lanzarote
Variable cloud cover with sunny spells. Temperatures will peak at around 30°C, with a bit more breeze than on Wednesday.
Fuerteventura
A sunny day, with intervals of low clouds in the morning and late afternoon. A moderate northeast wind, and no significant temperature changes.
La Palma
Scattered clouds, especially in the north and east. A few drops cannot be ruled out. Moderate trade winds.
La Gomera
Mostly sunny, with low clouds in the north during the morning and late evening.
El Hierro
More clouds in the north than in previous days, but still plenty of sunshine and summer-like temperatures.
La Graciosa
Variable cloud cover, sunny spells and a trade wind breeze. Maximum temperatures around 28°C.
