New shopping destination for southern Tenerife
Southern Tenerife has gained a new retail space. La Gran Manzana, the shopping centre located in Las Chafiras in the municipality of San Miguel de Abona, has now opened its doors with a wide range of fashion, dining, sports and services, aiming to become one of the island’s main meeting points.
Size and location
The complex, covering nearly 18,000 square metres, has started trading with dozens of outlets open to the public and plans to continue expanding its offering over the coming months with the addition of a premium cinema and a bowling alley, two of the most eagerly awaited features of the project. In addition to the retail offer, the centre has more than 1,000 parking spaces, 50 electric vehicle charging points, and a strategic location right next to the TF-1 motorway, just minutes from Tenerife South Airport.
Fashion, beauty and services
Among the brands that have already opened or confirmed their presence at the new shopping centre are fashion, homeware, beauty and service names including: Kiabi, JYSK, Women’secret, Springfield, Desigual, Natura, Jack & Jones, Primor, Parfois, Encuentro, Havaianas, Milla 88 Moda, Calzados La Horma, Multiópticas, Adeley, Art y Belleza, Barber International, Agapea, CD Tenerife Store, and Hipertrebol.
Dining offer
Dining will be another major draw for the complex. Confirmed outlets include: Ginos, 100 Montaditos, Popeyes, Viva México, Bombay Babu, Pasta Mia, Maestro Pizza, Noodle Box & Sushi, Plátano Loco, Tribezón, and Backer Sin Gluten.
Leisure and fitness
La Gran Manzana also houses a Fitness Park gym, one of the fastest-growing chains in Spain. This offer will soon be joined by a cinema complex equipped with premium technology and a bowling alley, completing the leisure proposition aimed at both residents and tourists.
Energy efficiency and innovation
One of the features that sets La Gran Manzana apart is its commitment to energy efficiency. The complex incorporates a 1,100 kW photovoltaic plant, an energy storage system, and technologies designed to reduce consumption and increase self-sufficiency. Its developers also highlight a system capable of harnessing ambient humidity to produce drinking water, a solution that places the centre among the most technologically innovative commercial projects developed in the Canary Islands.
Boost for San Miguel de Abona
With this opening, San Miguel de Abona gains the first large shopping centre in the municipality, a project that aims to strengthen the retail and leisure offer of southern Tenerife and will continue to grow with new openings in the coming months.
