Friday: clouds and light rain for the west

The remnants of a weak front will keep the skies over the Canary Islands mostly cloudy on Friday, bringing light rain to western islands. Eastern islands will see more sunny spells. Temperatures remain stable with slightly higher daytime highs.

A variable breeze will shift to a northwest wind by morning and then settle in from the west by the afternoon. Wind speeds will be light in most areas, but the peaks of La Palma and Tenerife will see gusts pick up significantly. In La Palma, the wind may channel down the southern slopes near Mazo.
