Stable and pleasant conditions for Good Friday
Good Friday brings settled and pleasant weather across the Canary Islands. The day will start with mostly clear skies, though a band of high cloud will move in from the south during the afternoon, spreading from El Hierro northwards. Temperatures see a slight dip, particularly in inland and summit areas.
General outlook: sun, cloud, and moderate winds
After some morning scattered clouds in the north of the more mountainous islands, the day will be largely sunny. High cloud will increase from the south in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures drop slightly, most noticeably on the peaks of La Palma. Minimums will also be a little cooler in inland areas of La Palma, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria.
A moderate northeasterly wind will blow, with occasional strong gusts on slopes exposed to the trade winds, as well as in the northwest, southeast, and the interior of Lanzarote, especially during the morning.
At sea, a combined swell from the north-northeast will affect coasts open to the north and the western shores of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, with waves unlikely to exceed 2 metres. Elsewhere, expect slightly choppy ocean conditions.

Tenerife
Scattered clouds in the north, especially in the afternoon. Clear elsewhere. High cloud will increase later. Moderate northeasterly wind with probable strong gusts in the far southeast and northwest. Temperatures in the capital, Santa Cruz, will range from 16°C to 22°C.
Gran Canaria
Generally clear skies, with scattered clouds in the north. Moderate trade wind. Probable strong gusts on the southeastern and northwestern slopes. Temperatures in Las Palmas will oscillate between 17°C and 21°C.
Lanzarote
Clear with scattered clouds inland in the early morning. Otherwise sunny. Moderate northeasterly wind with some strong gusts inland. A maximum temperature of 23°C is expected in Arrecife.
Fuerteventura
Clear with some morning scattered clouds inland and in the west. Otherwise sunny. High clouds during the afternoon and evening. Moderate trade wind, not ruling out a strong gust inland in the afternoon. Pleasant temperatures.
La Palma
Clear skies except in the northeast, where there will be scattered clouds during the morning. Moderate northeasterly wind with some strong intervals; it will be easterly in mid-altitude areas. The maximum temperature will be around 22°C in Santa Cruz de La Palma.
La Gomera
A sunny day except in the north, where there will be scattered clouds. Moderate northeasterly wind and maximum temperatures between 19°C and 24°C on the coasts.
El Hierro
Clear except for morning scattered clouds in the far northeast and in Valverde. High cloud increasing in the afternoon.
La Graciosa
Clear skies. Moderate northeasterly wind and temperatures ranging from 16°C to 21°C in Caleta de Sebo.
