A bright, spring start to the week
Monday serves up classic spring weather across the Canary Islands. Skies will be mostly clear or with scattered clouds, temperatures will climb slightly, and the Atlantic will remain calm for the most part. It’s a great day to be outdoors.
General conditions
Temperatures will rise a notch compared to yesterday. Expect coastal highs between 20°C and 26°C. The trade wind will blow moderately over the eastern islands, while a gentle easterly flow will prevail in the west. In the midlands, the wind will come from the east, and on the higher peaks it will be light and variable — except on Tenerife’s summits, where a moderate southwesterly breeze will pick up.
On the water, the ocean will be a mix of conditions. Off the northern and western coasts of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, expect waves between 1.0 and 1.5 metres. More sheltered southern shores will see a slightly choppy ocean with waves around 0.5 metres.

Tenerife
Cloudy intervals in the north and east during the morning, clearing to mostly clear or sunny elsewhere. Local afternoon clouds will develop inland. Light wind from the east, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures between 17°C and 23°C.
Gran Canaria
Mostly clear skies, apart from cloudy intervals in the north and northeast. Moderate trade wind, accelerating in exposed areas from the northwest to southeast. Capital city temperatures ranging from 18°C to 22°C.
Lanzarote
Low clouds in the north, east, and west during the first half of the day. Elsewhere, mostly clear or sunny. Moderate trade wind. In Arrecife, temperatures between 16°C and 23°C.
Fuerteventura
Cloudy intervals in the north and east during the morning, giving way to clear skies elsewhere. Moderate trade wind. Maximum temperatures between 20°C and 25°C.
La Palma
More compact cloudy intervals in the afternoon, with local clouds developing. Light wind from the east, though strong gusts cannot be ruled out in the far northwest. Capital city temperatures from 16°C to 22°C.
La Gomera
Cloudy intervals in the north and south, mostly clear or sunny elsewhere. Light wind from the east. Maximum temperatures between 20°C and 25°C.
El Hierro
Mostly clear or sunny skies in the morning, with local clouds forming around midday. Light wind from the east. Pleasant temperatures throughout the day.
La Graciosa
More compact cloudy intervals in the morning. Moderate trade wind. In Caleta de Sebo, temperatures between 17°C and 23°C.
