Monday starts mostly clear across the Canary Islands, but the skies will cloud over in northern and eastern areas by the afternoon. A few weak, scattered showers are possible on the more mountainous islands, though nothing heavy.
General conditions
Daytime temperatures will rise slightly in parts of the western slopes of the central islands. Overnight lows remain stable, with little change. Winds are light and variable across the eastern islands, predominantly from the north. In the west, a light northwest breeze prevails. The exception is Tenerife’s summits, where strong southwesterly winds could produce locally very strong gusts.
Out on the Atlantic, an ocean swell from the northwest is expected along coasts open to the north and the western shores of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote, with waves potentially reaching 2 metres. Sheltered southern coasts will see much calmer conditions, with waves barely exceeding half a metre.

Tenerife
Mostly clear early in the morning. Cloud cover develops around midday in the north and east, where a stray drop cannot be ruled out. Elsewhere, mostly clear or sunny. Light wind from the northwest, but strong southwesterly winds on the summits with locally very strong gusts. Temperatures range from 18°C to 23°C in the capital.
Gran Canaria
Scattered clouds, turning cloudy or very cloudy in the north, east, and southeast during the afternoon. Weak, scattered showers cannot be ruled out. Lighter cloud elsewhere. Light wind with no clear direction. Temperatures between 18°C and 22°C in the capital.
Lanzarote
Scattered cloud cover, cloudier in the east. Clearing in the west by midday. Light, variable wind. Temperatures in Arrecife range from 16°C to 23°C.
Fuerteventura
Mostly clear or sunny skies, with cloudier intervals in the east. Light, variable wind. Daytime highs between 20°C and 24°C.
La Palma
Cloudy skies in the morning over the western and northern areas. By afternoon, local clouds form in the east, where weak, occasional showers are possible. Light northwest wind. Temperatures in the capital range from 15°C to 21°C.
La Gomera
Mostly clear, except in the north and east where it will be cloudy. Light northwest wind. Daytime highs along the coast between 19°C and 24°C.
El Hierro
Scattered cloud cover, more abundant in the north and inland. Light northwest wind. Maximum temperature around 16°C in the capital.
La Graciosa
Scattered clouds, more present at the start and end of the day. Light, variable wind. Temperatures in Caleta de Sebo range from 16°C to 23°C.
