Dust in the air and warmth on the coast
A light calima will drift across the Canary Islands this Wednesday, bringing a muggy feel and a veil of high cloud to most of the archipelago. No major changes are expected, with plenty of middle and high cloud over the western islands and low cloud clinging to the northern and north-eastern slopes of the mountainous ones.
The odd shower cannot be ruled out on the summits, though most areas will stay dry. Saharan dust will be most noticeable at ground level.
Summer-like temperatures and a building swell

A light calima will be more noticeable along the coast. Temperatures will feel distinctly summery, with the north-easterly easing and moderate westerlies over the summits.
Lanzarote
Some low cloud in the north during the morning, with a light calima and high cloud elsewhere. Pleasant temperatures, with highs of 24–28°C and a light northerly wind.
Fuerteventura
Patches of high cloud and calima. Temperatures will drop by a degree or so, but the muggy feel will linger. Light north to north-westerly wind.
La Palma
Lots of cloud, with the chance of some light rain in the eastern midlands. Temperatures will feel warm for the season, with a north-easterly along the coast and westerlies over the summits.
La Gomera
Mostly cloudy skies, a light calima and a muggy feel. Temperatures will barely change, with a light northerly along the coast.
El Hierro
Cloudy skies from middle and high cloud, perhaps a stray drop of rain and a light calima. Pleasant temperatures with a light to moderate north-north-easterly wind.
La Graciosa
Mostly variable cloud cover with a light calima. A high of 26°C in Caleta de Sebo and a light northerly wind.
